Winter Bridal Editorial Shoot

White wedding dresses are embroidered into our modern traditions so seamlessly that it's difficult to imagine any other option. Mary Queen of Scotts was the first woman to wear white for her wedding ceremony, but Queen Victoria made a white gown not only popular, but immediately mandatory for the fashion forward of her era. British women and their counterparts traditionally wore red, black, or their favourite colours up until February 10, 1840. Red is sumptuous, but black? Black is bold. It's a rich background, and an immediate statement. Green was considered THE unlucky colour to be wed in.
