My college Small Business 101 project, dreamt up while very pregnant with Lilith, and $10.00 to my name. I turned this beauty into a tutorial, and on its 10 year anniversary, am giving it to you!
The chandeliers have been sent around the world auctioned at charity for Oxfam, Doctors Without Borders, Yelé Haiti, Regretsy (who regularly donated to Cancer survivors owning Etsy shops under the auspices of highlighting their "DIY meets WTF" aesthetic, both eye-poppingly gorgeous and otherwise...well...otherwise), amongst others.
Featured in PopSugar, Design Milk, Apartment Therapy, and more, on its 10 year anniversary, it is now time to pass the paper clip torch on. You can grab the link to the PDF tutorial here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/auaojee31199z02/12%20Page%20Master%20Key%20Paper%20Clip%20Chandelier%20Tutorial.pdf?dl=0
These projects take a little time, patience, and creativity, but are worth it in the end - especially for teachers or art therapists looking or worthwhile projects focusing on design, pattern, or fluid thinking. The objective here was to strip the main elements of an ordinary lampshade and elevate them to their highest, using ordinary materials, for an extraordinary result.
Please note that the tutorial does not include instructions on how to wire a simple fixture, as per our insurance company's strictest instructions. Please consult a professional electrician for that info!
